This day, Jang Keun Suk undergoes the test at Hanyang, introducing theatre at a big theatre and movie department. Every week on Monday and Tuesday, JKS will go to school. Q: You have saved a lot of money?
JKS: [it does not seem to be a very important thing] but yes, for my age, yes I have earned and saved a lot of money …
Q: How do you manage your finances?
JKS: My parents manage it, so in fact I don’t know anything. I still spend from pocket money. When it’s not enough, then I request for money from my parents. (laughs)
Because of “You are Beautiful” in Japan last year, JKS rose rapidly to become the most popular Hallyu star after Winter Sonata’s Bae Yong-joon in 2004. After singing, performing and releasing an album, he has become a top star ……
Q: How do you look at comments about being the next-generation Hallyu star after Bae Yong-joon?
JKS: I’m very honoured …. but Senior Bae Yong-joon anda I are different.. so there is no basis for comparison. Senior BYJ caused the world to have a different understanding of Koreans… in comparison, I am only a newly grown chicken.
Q: Your commercial asking fee exceeds BYJ’s?
JKS: Using CF asking fee as a basis for evaluating is also not logical. The history that Senior BYJ made…. just this point alone is very fantastic …
Q: Have you thought about why you are so popular in Japan?
JKS: This …. I didn’t think about this before. Seems like (fans) like my unpredictable actions… (laughs)

During the 3-hour interview, JKS showed his free-spirited personality throughout… his frankness is surprising, like an unrestrained wild horse; his confidence and mindset to take on challenges… this and his unique charm that is noticeably different from other stars.
Recently every day, he leads his usual life surrounded by cameras. KBS and Japan’s Fuji TV are, at the same time, producing a daily documentary of his life. KBS will air a New Year special feature on 4 Jan 2012, tentatively entitled “25 years old, I am Jang Keun Suk”.
Lastly, we requested JKS to reveal something he has not revealed before. He revealed his student identity card, that pic of a rough-edged university freshman with glaring eyes.

Big Bang’s Taeyang and Se7en play a video game together

Big Bang’s Taeyang and Se7en have attracted attention by playing a video game together.

On January 4, two picture under the title of “Taeyang and Se7en at a video arcade” were uploaded on an online community board.

Jang Keun Suk feels a little burdened by his current standing

Jang Keun Suk appears for the pictorial for the 2012 first issue of High Cut playing a double role of guys in the 1970s and 2012 respectively, suggestive of the characters he is currently playing in the most anticipated upcoming drama series Love Rain.

For the pictorial, Jang wore brown-tone classic outfits of COMME des GARCONS, Rick Owens and Ann Demeulemeester. While shooting, Japanese female fans kept their presence at one corner of the set, lost in admiration of his attractive air and figure.

In an interview, Jang confided, “When my mother went see a fortuneteller, he said, as I heard, my 2012 would be another busiest year in my life. My mom encouraged me to reestablish my determination for 2012. I sometimes feel a little burdened by such pressure to maintain popularity both in Korea and Japan.”

“I have gained more than expected, so it is true that I have to be careful in behaving and talking, having so much in my head. I want people to give affectionate support to me without color and my growth in coming years,” he added.

Mulai dari pengakuan Lee Min Ho yang mengencani Park Min Young, hingga drama penculikan Taeyeon SNSD di atas panggung.

Selama tahun 2011, banyak kejadian menarik yang terjadi di industri hiburan Korea Selatan. Mulai dari skandal terpanas para selebriti hingga kejadian tak terduga yang menimpa mereka. Peristiwa-peristiwa kontroversial itu tidak hanya menyedot perhatian masyarakat lokal, tapi juga menjadi bahan pembicaraan fans dan netter se-Asia. Berikut ini beberapa skandal terheboh yang pernah terjadi selama tahun 2011 di dunia hiburan Korea Selatan. : 

1. Lee Min Ho Kencani Park Min Young 
   
   Awalnya hanya dikira gosip semata. Tapi setelah masing-masing perwakilan agensi membenarkan kabar ini, banyak Minoz (sebutan fans Min Ho) yang shock dan patah hati. Maklum, Min Ho adalah salah satu cowok terpanas Korea Selatan yang memiliki banyak fans di seluruh Asia dan luar negeri. 
   
   Keduanya mengalami cinlok saat membintangi serial "City Hunter" (akan ditayangkan di Indonesia). Namun perlahan fans mulai "merestui" hubungan mereka berdua. Apalagi beberapa waktu lalu keduanya masuk nominasi pasangan terbaik di ajang penghargaan SBS Drama Awards 2011. 
   
   Selain kisah asmara Min Ho dan Min Young, pengakuan beberapa artis lainnya yang tengah menjalin asmara seperti Goo Hara (Kara) dan Yoon Joon Hyung (Beast), Lee Hyori dan Lee Sang Soon serta Sunye (Wonder Girls) juga tidak kalah menghebohkan fans dan netter. 
   
2. Kasus Kecelakaan Daesung 
   
    
   
   Peristiwa tabrakan yang melibatkan personil Big Bang itu adalah salah satu peristiwa yang menghebohkan di tahun ini. Insiden itu terjadi 31 Mei sekitar pukul 1:30 malam waktu setempat. Daesung tidak sengaja menabrak seorang pengendara motor yang diduga tengah mabuk hingga meninggal dunia. 
   
   Sebagian orang membela Daesung dengan mengatakan cowok ini berada di tempat dan waktu yang salah. Namun ada juga yang menyalahkan Daesung karena tidak berhati-hati. Selain meminta maaf kepada keluarga, Daesung juga menanggung seluruh biaya pemakaman. Setelah itu Daesung memutuskan untuk vakum dari dunia hiburan hingga akhir tahun 2011. 
   
3. Tae Yeon Diculik Orang Asing di Atas Panggung 
   
    
   
   17 April, Tae Yeon tiba-tiba digeret oleh seorang pria asing saat Girls' Generation sedang menyanyikan "Run Devil Run" di Angel Price Music Festival. Sunny sempat menyelamatkan Tae Yeon dengan memegangi tangannya, tapi tarikan pria itu terlalu kuat. 
   
   Untungnya pria itu berhasil dihentikan oleh petugas keamanan. Dia ternyata seorang mahasiswa yang sangat terobsesi dengan Tae Yeon. 
   
4. Kasus Mariyuana G-Dragon 
   
    
   
   Awal Oktober, G-Dragon mengejutkan fans dan publik Korea Selatan saat mengakui pernah mengonsumsi mariyuana. Dalam pembelaannya, personil Big Bang ini mengatakan telah menghisap rokok seseorang yang diberikan kepadanya di sebuah klub. Setelah beberapa kali hisap, G-Dragon menyadari ada yang tidak beres dengan rokok itu karena rasanya berbeda. Namun dia tetap memilih untuk terus menghisapnya. 
   
   G-Dragon akhirnya rehat sejenak dari dunia artis. Penampilan perdananya setelah kasus narkobanya mencuat adalah saat dia menghadiri MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 bersama grupnya. 
   
5. Pernikahan-Perceraian Seo Tai Ji dan Lee Ji Ah 
   
    
   
   Kontroversi pernikahan penyanyi Seo Tai Ji dengan aktris serial "Athena: Goddess of War" (2010), Lee Ji Ah, juga merupakan salah satu skandal terbesar selama tahun ini. Tidak ada hujan tidak ada angin, April lalu penyanyi legendaris ini diketahui tengah mengurus perceraiannya dengan aktris cantik serial "Me Too, Flower". Lee Ji Ah. Fans tidak hanya dibuat bingung dengan perceraian mereka, tapi juga pernikahannya.

   Awal Oktober, aktris cantik Kim Tae Hee dicekal oleh sebagian warga Jepang yang memprotes serial terbarunya, "Me and My Star's 99 Days". Sekitar 550 anti-fans Tae Hee menggelar aksi demonstrasi sampai turun ke jalanan. Protes itu terkait masalah pulau Dokdo yang diklaim oleh Jepang dan KorSel (namun akhirnya dimenangkan oleh KorSel). 
   
    
   
   Selain Tae Hee, 2NE1 juga sempat dikecam publik Jepang gara-gara video musik "Hate You". Adegan meledaknya reaktor nuklir dipermasalahkan karena dianggap menyindir kejadian bocornya reaktor nuklir di Fukushima Daiichi pasca bencana tsunami Maret lalu. Sedangkan monster bermata satu di dahi disebut mirip dengan konsep bendera Jepang sebagai negara superior yang akhirnya berhasil dikalahkan. Oleh karena itu mereka menganggap klip ini menghina bangsa yang dipimpin Kaisar Akihito tersebut.
